The main problem is removing and replacing the belt guard. This guard is a long five sided box completely covering the belt held on by about eight bolts. One of the bolts holding it is under the plastic covering over the cylinders, so that had to be removed as well. One of the bolts is located between the motor and the cylinder housing and all but impossible to get to without a long extension on a ratchet drive. Replacing the belt and adjusting it was a snap once the guard was off. Just loosen the motor mounting bolts, replace the belt, and tighten the motor bolts down with the belt tension such that it will turn the compressor. Getting the belt guard in place and holes lined up was another matter. By using the punch to hold alignment in one hole I was able to get a bolt started in another hole. I did not replace the bolt under the cylinder housing. I have a large well equipped shop and do lots of repair work, so this was not a problem for me. Someone less mechanically inclined would not be able to get that belt guard off.
