Honda HR215 decal worn, missing

David from Gresham, Oregon

Difficulty Level:
Easy
Total Repair Time:
Less than 15 mins
Tools:
Socket set
Scraped off old decals with razor blade window scraper. Cleaned up old sticker residue with lighter fluid (naptha). Applied new decals. Installed new spark plug after setting gap to 0.030\"

Several other parts suppliers advertised the HR215 decal is stock, but cancelled the item when order was submitted. Jack\'s Small Eng ine parts sent the incorrect spark plug, eReplacement parts did not.

Very happy overall as it was the decal I was really wanting to restore my late 80\'s Honda HR215 mower in excellent condition (still starts on one pull).

Honda Mower (HR215) Purchased in 1989 Needed Refurb

Difficulty Level:
A Bit Difficult
Total Repair Time:
More than 2 hours
Tools:
Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench set
I replaced the Carburetor, Muffler, Blade, Spark Plug, Wheels and numerous gaskets, nuts, bolts and studs. This was a fun and easy project. The hardest part was ordering all the correct parts and waiting for delivery. The actual work took about three hours. While disassembled, I thoroughly cleaned and de-greased the engine, deck and t hrottle mechanisms. This was an expensive mower when I purchased it, but 33 years of service had taken a toll. When I was finished with this project, the mower looked like new. It started with the first pull and ran perfectly!
