The high lift blade attaches to the spindle assembly. This is a genuine Snapper and Murray replacement part used in rear engine rider series lawn mowers. The blade is sold individually and is made of metal. If this part becomes cracked or broken it will need to be replaced and may require a wrench set during the installation.
