Product Description

?

This authentic manufacturer-sourced gasket is designed for use with Subaru / Robin engines commonly found in lawn and garden equipment. It serves as a carburetor gasket, providing an air-tight seal for the rocker cover to ensure proper engine performance. Made from high-quality composite material, this gasket is built for durability but may deteriorate over time due to heat and wear, requiring replacement. It is sold individually, and for correct application and installation, users should refer to the owner’s manual and model-specific diagrams.

Remove the air cleaner assembly. ereplacementparts has a you tube video on this subject. Here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faM2nla4_u4 . Empty the fuel from the tank or use some tube clamp pliers to stop the flow of fuel. Remove the carburetor from the engine. Remember where the spring and throttle where locate d. Then start removing the parts from the carb. and laying them on a clean towel. Once all the parts are off, clean the carb. with carb, cleaner. I did use some fishing line to clean out the small passages. Once it was clean and dry, I started to assemble it. I replaced the needle, cup and bowl o-ring. Then installed the float bowl with the o-ring and bolt. Installed the insulator with the gaskets on both sides of it. I then installed the new union and all of the parts attached to it. I removed the muffler, then the gasket and cleaned the area before I installed the new muffler gasket.
Removed the rocker arm cover and replaced the gasket beneath it. Installed a new fuel filter in the tank. Then before I installed the air cleaner, I exchanged the old packing (gasket) for the new one.
Running great again.

I lined up the hash marks on the cam gear, then removed the pin and the damaged part, then I installed the new rocker arm. I set the intake and exhaust valve, installed the valve cover. The engine started after only two pulls on the cord.
