Removed engine top cover. Removed coils and diode.Replaced coils and spiced in diode.Used .010 thickness guage to set air gap between coil and flywheel. A business card or cardboard of similar thickness will work. Replaced top cover and tested.

Lawn mower would not start. No spark noted during diagnosis.
Removed the engine shroud on top of the engine. Ignitions and diode immediately underneath with. 5 bolts loosened freeing the ignitions and diode. Ereplacenent makes it very easy to order parts at reasonable prices.
