This item is a genuine replacement part that has been OEM sourced and is intended to be used with lawnmower engines from Briggs & Stratton and Toro. The rubber seal is used to prevent oil from leaking at the connection between the bottom of the oil fill tube and the crankcase. This item also allows the fill tube to firmly sit into the case. The dipstick tube seal if available as an individual replacement part.

Easy part to replace - unbolt tube remove tube out of old seal, unscrew old seal -remove any thing still in threaded part of block, replace seal in clean threaded block port hole, replace tube into new seal and re-bolt as when you started. check oil level. start and check for leak, easy replacement.

Remove screw pull dipstick straight up remove old rubber seal clean with solvent apply silicon to new deal around the threads and dipstick hole and reassemble and let dry

Burning oil.

1. Disassembled the engine and the mower deck from the tractor.
2. Removed the defective parts and reinstalled new parts.
3. Reassembled.

Oil leak

Removed engine from tractor drained oil from sump removed bottom pan removed seal cleaned old gasket replaced gasket and seal. Reassemble installed new oil and dipstick seal. Moved engine to tractor, installed and started up. No oil leak

removed dip stick tube, pulled out old leaky oil grommet on engine, snapped in new part, reinstalled dip stick tube. no more leak.
