Press tabs on the side of the defective switch to release it. Install leads on the new switch like they were on the old one, then just snap it back in the housing

Old rotary switch broke apart and ground wire to switch was grounding itself out preventing spark for ignition

Removed the shroud housing the pull cord and rotary switch. Pushed old broken switch up thru hole in housing. Pushed new switch down thru hole in housing. Plugged ground wire on to tab on new switch. Reinstalled housing. Done

Removed the engine cover----4 bolts, squeezed tabs on old switch and removed it. popped replacement switch into hole in engine cover---slid wire onto switch tab----replaced engine cover with 4 bolts---7/16 wrench

Broken on/off switch

1. Removed starter rope from generator
2. Removed air filter assembly
3. Removed electrical piece from side of cover
4. Removed four bolts from cover
5. Popped old ignition switch out after disconnecting the wire
6. Put new end on the connecting wire to ignition switch
7. Put new ignition switch in cove r and plugged it in
8. Put cover on and reassembled it.

Removed 4 bolts holding the cover on, squeezed the sides of old switch with pliers to remove from housing, put new switch in place, removed old v-type connector from ground wire( which was left from old switch), slid the slide-on connector on ground wire onto the new switch, bolted the cover back on, done. Started the engine to make sure it worked. It did.

Took air cleaner off removed 4 bolts took cover off motor popped out switch .Replaced switch and reassembled.

Remove air filter assembly, remove pull start housing (4 bolts), remove broken connector from wire, squeeze two sides of switch with pliers and slide switch from housing. Push new switch in hole, connect wire. replace start housing back in place connect air filter housing with new filter. Replaced fuel filter while I was at it, Pliers req uired for clamps..

Removed 5 screws to remove air filter shroud. Removed 4 screws to remove starter rope shroud. Removed wire from switch. Popped switch from shroud. Popped new switch into shroud and connected wire. Reinstalled shrouds.

Removed the cover and pushed out the old switch, took the wires from the old switch and connected them to the new switch and pressed the switch in the cover, the replaced the cover
