Product Description

?

This is a replacement cylinder head gasket for your small engine. The gasket is approximately 5 inches in length and 5 inches in width at its longest and widest points. The gasket creates a seal, and the seal allows combustion to occur, making your engine run at peak performance. If the gasket is damaged or coming apart, you may notice a decrease in the power and performance of your engine. When you remove the old gasket, be sure that the surface you are attaching the new one to is completely clean, so the seal will be effective. This part is sold individually and it is a genuine OEM part.

Since the blue smoke from the exhaust smelled like burning oil I was certain the problem was a blown cylinder head gasket or possibly a leaking intake valve seal. I ordered both parts, which were shipped the same day, and disassembled the cylinder head to find the cause. As I suspected, the head gasket was blown and sucking oil from the v alve gallery into the combustion chamber. I installed the new gasket and valve seal, torqued the head to 170 inch lbs. assembled all parts and started the engine, which ran perfectly . I\'m pleased with the quick service and exact replacement parts from eReplacementParts.com. and will use them again if I have further problems.

Pressed the valve guide back in place. Staked it on both ends. Re assembled with the new parts, & the engine is back running as it should. I\'ll monitor the guide periodically to check for future issues. If it does not stay in place the head will need replacing.
