Engine wouldn\'t start because the rubber connectors were cracked
Remove the breather tube, and both grommets from the breather assembly. Remove the old grommets and installed the new grommets. Remove the air cleaner cover and remove the old pre filter and install the new on, then place the cover back on.

I removed the lever panel, gas tank, and carborater in that order. I cut a new gasket for the carb to rest on, flushed the carb with cleaner, flushed the gas tank with fresh gas, replaced the diaphram, and reassembled. Motor had set up for several years. Gaskets and grommets were bad.
Ordered carburetor for a 25 yo Pollen Garden teller w/Brigs 5 hp engine. Two screw holes had to be opened up with tap. Ordered later two grommets that were needed to replace the old parts. Most difficult to replace this carb. on this engine. When done Just two pulls and purring like a kitten. Good carb.
Too off air breather to get to carb. Unbolted gas tank and carb. Used tools to take apart carb. Scraped old gaskets off carb. Used carb cleaner spray and compressed air to spray our all holes and cleaned carb. Put new gaskets on then fired right up. Will deff use in the future for parts etc.
