I first ordered brushes from Amazon and of course they were the wrong one, almost ruined my tool. I strayed from ERP, but will never stray again. I have always ordered from ERP and very satisfied. My only go to place for parts.
Repair was so simple. Remove the casing. Pull the white wire off. Remove screw holding brush in place. R emove old brush and replace with a new one making sure the arc on the brush lines up with the motor. Easy Peasy.

porter cable drywall sander just stopped running. Took it apart to clean. Noticed brushes were severely worn. Only 2 screws per brush assembly, but really small.

first disassembled main housing. Second cleaned entire area. Third took motor loose of the flex shaft. Fourth removed brush assemblies and replaced brushes. Reverse from there.
