This is a genuine replacement part manufactured for Fein products. This durable two wire cable is 18 gauge, and used to power a variety of products. The cable assembly is sold individually, please see model diagram for additional parts such as cord protectors.
Removed all the screws on one side of the housing. Remove switch controller removed stabilizing brackets for cord stalled the new cord put the parts back in reverse order completed the repair in less than 15 minutes.

Variable speed knob module was replaced and power cord end was defective so was replaced
1- Opened tool
2- Removed old wire
3- Installed new wire
