Gears had worn down to making almost no contact or mesh

Blade stopped turning, screeching noises.

2. Removed gear cover.
3. Removed bolt holding drive gear and clutch hub together. This was not easy. Was able to kludge together a brace to hold clutch hub stationary while backing out the bolt.
4. Drive gear and double set of bearings were withdrawn from case. Used small bearing puller to pull bearing ... Read more s off drive gear shaft.
5. Replaced drive gear with new one and used a deep socket same diameter as bearings to pound bearings back into place on drive gear shaft.
6. Replaced clutch assembly.
7. Lubed new gears and replaced into case.
8. Put case cover back on and installed new blade.
9. Tested
