Drill chuck failure

1. Opened the jaws on the chuck to access the retainer screw for the chuck. Note: The retainer screw has left-hand threads, so turning the screw to the left acutely tights the threads.
2. Back the chuck off the drive stem, the chuck has right hand threads, so it backs off by left hand rotation.
3. Inspection of components, al l looks good and matches.
4. Screw the chuck on till it bottoms out.
5. Insert the retainer screw and tighten down.
6. Tested chuck, all systems in good working order.

Gear was slipping and chuck

Remove screws from drill then remove cover and move heat sink and install new gear assembly put back heat sink on motor and cover

1) Remove Drill Chuck
2) Drill hole in the old screw using appropriate bit per the screw extractor user manual.
3) Use drill extractor to remove old broken chuck screw
4) Reinstall drill chuck.
5) Install new screw
6) Torque appropriately

I followed the instructions on the web site but the chuck was on the shaft so tight I had to use an impact gun to break it loose. Other than that it was a piece of cake. I didn\'t need a new retention screw but bought one just in case. Left hand threaded screws are hard to find!

took apart drill. could not remove chuck. Screw was rounded off. Probably a rebuilt unit I had not touched the drill before other Han to use it

1. Viewed the repair/replacement video on YouTube.
2. Removed defective drill chuck
3. Ordered replacement drill chuck and retaining screw on website.
4. Received the replacement parts in 3 days, replaced new parts on drill.

I threaded the new chuck onto the drill shaft and then installed the retaining screw down the center of the fully open chuck and used a screwdriver to tighten counterclockwise.

The gearbox that I ordered was in pieces the gears and bearings was all apart .and some of the bearings were missing along with the two roller pins .No instructions on how this is assembled .No one would help me so I used some pieces out of my old gear box and just figured out how it was assembled

1. Removed the battery.
2. Opened the drill casing by removing all screws.
3. Removed the gear assembly and the chuck as one unit.
4. Replaced with the assembled gearbox and the chuck.
5. Secured the casing.
6. Attached the battery.
7. Tested, worked just fine.
