Removed old motor-had to cut wires to it as they were soldered.I cleaned the carbon and grease of of the control PCB. While waiting for the new motor I took the gear box apart and cleaned and greased it.
The new motor goes onto the gear box with a simple twist the wires have to be soldered on. Installed gear/motor assembly routed wi res so they had clearance.Installed the the case and reversing switch carefully screwed assembly together and tested.
I now have a new motor in my drill and it is working like a new drill.
