Weak gears
I would love to say the gear stripped while fighting a fish, but I can't. I installed the gear in my Penn reel after a deep cleaning, put it all back together and turned the crank twice. The gear stripped three teeth wit no pressure on it. In fact I didn't have line on the reel. Cheap made product.
