Product Description

?

This is an original Makita replacement part manufactured for use with air compressors. The check valve allows air from the pump into the tank and prevents air from leaving the tank back to the pump. When a check valve is faulty the pump will try to start although air is in the tank, and the motor will try to start but does not engage, the motor will just make a humming sound. This check valve is sold individually.

Removed old parts, installed new ones. The overload switch, first, remove four screws that hold the instrument panel to the frame. It\'s blue with gauges on top. Lay compressor on its back, remove four nuts. Remove compressor from frame. Unscrew air filter, set to side. Removed four allen screws that hold on plastic shield. Loosen nut tha t holds overload switch. Make sure the two wires that are on it go to the same terminal on the new one. There is very small writing on the switch. Put it back together in reverse.

The outlet connection for the pressure gauge is on the opposite side, 180 degrees from original. Hope this doesn\'t let dirt and condensation in. Other than that, good part, easy to replace.
