This is an original replacement part manufactured for use with Poulan pole pruners, and a chainsaw. The nut is hex shaped, and can be used to secure the bar, and mounting plate. The special nut is sold individually, and a wrench is required to install this part.

Chain on the saw wasn\'t moving properly. When cutting the chain would stop moving but motor was still going.
The repair was very easy. Removed the cover over the chain and gear (left cover) with a Philips head screwdriver. Removed the two nuts, used my socket set, so I could remove the chain and guide plate. The sprocket gear now lifted out on a slight angle. ... Read more is the main reason the chain would stop or not move properly. While it was all apart I cleaned the saw as much as possible. I then reversed the process to put the chain saw back together. Replacing all the parts I ordered due to either being broken, worn or missing. Oiled where ever I thought would be needed. The chain saw is now working like new, cutting with ease! Thank you for having all the correct parts I needed and at good prices. Jim
I aligned the bar and chain into the proper position, and then I screwed the nuts on by hand. I adjusted the chain tension with a flat-head screw driver. Then I finished tightening the nuts with a 7/16 wrench.
