I pulled and grounded the spark plug to confirm spark and ensure the piston was not seized. I ordered a complete (as could be had) carb. kit from E-R.com. Took some time due to the pandemic. Upon arrival I disconnected the fuel lines and removed the carburetor I replaced the rubber hoses/fuel lines/fuel filter. Took apart the carb and ins talled new diaphragms, gaskets, screen, metering valve from the \'quick kit\'. Cleaned the carb body with cleaner, blew it out with compressed air and reassembled. Installed the carb and cleaned out the spark arrestor and the air filter. the saw will start and run well with a squirt of starter fluid but dies still. It may be needle valves (high / low) but they are no longer available. Is now in the hands of a professional to review my work and determine the issue. When I get it back I\'ll try and remember to update this post with the findings and results. NOTE TO OTHERS - try and use non-ethanol gas or empty the tank after each use if not used daily.
