Then I saw it was a $2 part here on ereplacementparts. Ordered on a weekend and it arrived in about three days. I thought I was going to have to completely disassemble the saw and unattach the stud from the other side...Nope, just grabbed what was left of the broken stud with vice-grips and easily unscrewed. The new one went back in just as easily. Saw was back together in under 10 minutes.

Very old Machines that needed carb cleaned or replaced along with fuel lines and air filter

I ordered replacement carburetor, air filter and fuel lines for an old chainsaw and hedge trimmer. These machines had not run in over 15 years! e replacement parts quickly sent carb, air filter, fuel lines, fuel filter and spark plugs! all for about 15 bucks each! I spent about 15 minutes on each machine to clean them and replace all parts mentioned above.
With fresh fuel i took the chainsaw out back and it fired up on the first pull! No kidding that was fun! all i had to do was adjust the high speed idle. The other machine fired up after a couple of pulls (maybe less primed than the chainsaw) but both machines run great after sitting for many years. Gone are the days of rebuilding little carburetors when all is needed is to go for the great deal and fast shipping from e replacement parts. I may be sounding like a commercial at this point but i am just so pleased with the outcome/results. THANKS A LOT! Craig in Hawaii

Using pliers, I was able to back out broken stud. Replaced with new stud and used the \"double nut\" method to tighten with two wrenches. I actually did both studs as they came in a pair. \"Double nut\" is done by tightening two nuts against each other at the top of the stud wih two wrenches. Then tighten the stud into the saw using a wre nch on the top nut. With two wrenches, loosen the two nuts apart from each other not loosening the stud at the same time. Happy Wrenching!
