This is a genuine Echo replacement part, it is sold individually. The purpose of this filter is to keep dirt and other small particles from entering the carburetor and engine and causing internal engine damage. Once this type of filter gets clogged or dirty it should be changed (Not Cleaned). This is to prevent restricted air flow and foreign matter from entering the engine.

Used screwdriver to remove bulb holder and bulb Removed fuel lines. Installed new bulb and fuel lines successfully. I also replace the air filter.

Purge bulb cracked

1. Remove air filter cover with screwdriver.
2. Remove air filter.
3. Remove vent tubes to carb from purge bulb.
4. Using long nose pliers, squeeze clips together that hold bulb to chain saw chassis.
5. Remove bulb and replace with new vent tubes installed, connect to tubes to carb.
6. Install new air filter and cover.
7. Test purge bulb.

Replaced carburetor, wish is came with a gasket to the base. Had to take it back off and put a little sealer on it to get it to idle right. Also put new air cleaner on.

Starter handle was missing, saw handle cushion was broken, needed new air filter

1,Threaded rope thru new handle, tied knot, loaded spring, done.
2.Removed saw handle, removed starter cover, removed old broken cushion mount and replaced with new one and reinstalled handle and starter cover.
3, Unscrewed carburetor air filter cover and placed new air filter on carburetor and replaced cover.
4, Starte d saw, runs great .

Thread stripped on stud, fuel pipe leaking.

1. Removed stripped stud using vise grip pliers
2. Installed new stud
3. Removed leaking fuel tubing using needle nosed pliers
4. Cut new tubing to proper length

Chain saw was running poorly. Short burst then stalled.

Replaced air filter, fuel filter and spark plug. Had a flange nut that was missing so I replaced that as well. After this tune up the chain saw worked extremely well, pretty much like new. Took all of 10 minutes.

Figured out that the tool that you get to remove paint can tops is perfect for fishing out the fuel filter.
