This is a genuine Bissell part used on steam vacuums. It features multiple spiraling rows of bristles. The brushroll is designed to agitate carpet and upholstery fibers in order to loosen debris. It fits into the very front of the base of the beneath the clear plastic base window. This part is sold individually.

No problems installing new parts, went well. Only problem I had was with one of the hoses being on the wrong side of the water outlet, could not get left side to come all the way down. Corrected this problem the top went into place easily. Make sure this hose is on the inside if the water drain in bottom of sweeper tank area.

Replaced roller assembly on carpet cleaner Bissell 7901
Remove cover and arm. Flip over and remove brush retainers and r&or brush and belts. Reinstall retainers and cover and arm. Very simple procedure. I did clean the machine while disassembled. Looks like a new one now and works perfect.
