1. Disassembled all plastics. 2.scrubbed and cleaned all plastic housings and engine 3.replaced air filter, retaining nut bolt and cover. 4. Rewound pull starter cord 5. Started and test ran machine and it worked like a brand new trimmer.

carburtetor was not pumping or metering fuel properly

Removed external housing, then removed carburetor. Cleaned gasket surfaces, and installed new parts. Started engine and set carburetor low speed idle screw and set high speed screw for proper fuel mixture settings.

The job was not too hard, my son actually did it as an FFA project with my supervision it took about 45 minutes to complete. The entire engine housing had to be disassembled in order to replace the lower section. The hardest part was removing the support bearing and reinstalling it.
