The bail arm attaches to the brass bushing. This part is available as an individual replacement part. It is an authentic OEM sourced item which is specially produced for use with Abu Garcia baitcast reels. A screwdriver may be necessary during the installation of this part. This part is made out of plastic and will need to be replaced if it breaks.

Removed the broken bail arm and return spring cover, cleaned all the spring components, installed the new bail arm, repeated the return spring, placed the cover! Job complete.
I used the screwdriver to remove the broken one. I had to use needle nose pliers to set the small stop lever then used the screwdriver to tighten it all back down.
