Remove the old brush caps with a screwdriver, remove the old brushes. Install the new brushes, screw the new brush caps on.

Remove the brush caps and then the worn brushes. Install the new brushes, then screw the new brush caps on.
The cap was a little to large to recess in the hole.

I turned on a belt sander and held the cap between my thumb and index allowing the cap to spin freely for about 30 seconds and it fit perfectly then.
