Tried to start boom and black smoke came out .

Hi Debbie, Thank you for your question. If your engine blows black smoke, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the valves, the carburetor, the air filter, the gaskets, the oil seals, the piston ring and the spark plug.
