    The snap ring came off of the shaft allowing the drive sprocket to get out of place.

    Remove bar clamp assembly, then remove the bar, Assemble the sprocket kit on the shaft securing it with the new snap ring. Replace parts in reverse order.

    Screwdriver, Socket set, snap ring pliers

    Removed bar clamp assembly, then the bar and chain, used a set of snap ring pliers to remove the snap ring from the shaft. Then removed the old sprocket and washer. Then replaced all the parts in reverse order.

    Chain kept slipping out of the chain saw bar

    Problem was the spring clip that meets in the drive gear was missing Replaced spring clip and also the chain saw chain that was damaged. I also replaced the bar but I didn't have to but it needed some dressing up. Works fine now. Before I use my chain saws I will do a thorough inspection of my equipment to see that it is in good running order. A learning experience.

    1. Purchased new chain bar, chain still didn't operate properly, couldn't keep it running free. Determined my sprocket had worn grooves in it.

    2. Ordered new sprocket and chain.

    3. Pulled retainer clip off sprocket, replaced it, runs like new.

    1. Loosened chain and removed chain, cover, blade, woodruff key, sprocket, and washer.
    2. Replaced in reverse order, and tightened chain.
    3. Cranked and used. Operated perfectly.
