This is an OEM sourced replacement part commonly used on Echo backpack blowers. The ignition module is a crucial component of an engine. It is designed to produce pulses of high voltage electric current for the spark plugs. It is made out of metal with a rubber insulated wire. Please note, it does not include a spark plug boot, it is sold separately.
When replacing an ignition module on a handheld equipment you will need a screwdriver set and pliers.
• Remove the housing/cover
• Disconnect the spark plug
• Bind the cylinder
• Remove the air filter cover and side cover
• Remove the throttle cable from the carburetor
• Disconnect the wires
• Remove the old ignition coil
• Install the new ignition coil
• Reassemble and test the blower
