Took the upper band saw apart. Cleaned all parts...ordered new wheel hinge. Hinge arrived in about 7 days...oiled any bearing surfaces, brushed and cleaned the upper and lower wheels and installed the hinge. Tuned up the tension on band saw blade and started up. Tracked perfect first time...back in business. This Delta band saw is ab out 20 years old...so I appreciate you having the parts on hand. recommendation is to keep tension off blade when not in use...with tension release lever.

The broken part came off with no issues. When I went to insert the pully shaft and the mounting pin and neither one would go. Not even close. I tried putting the shaft and pin in the freezer and the hinge in the oven to expand and contract parts and it was still not even close to fitting. I ended up having to re drill the new hinge to mak e things fit. I would have just sent it back but I had already been waiting and needed to finish some projects up for Christmas presents so I just kept the part.

It should have been a simple half an hour or so job.
