This is an authentic Weber replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with outdoor gas grills. The metal heat shield is used to deflect heat produced within the firebox away from the control panel assembly. This item is available as an individual replacement part, please see illustrated diagram for associative parts.
Removed all old parts. Most time was spent removing old rusted bolts, which required the blowtorch. Once everything was off, replacement was easy and quick. Each part came will detailed instructions on how to replace, and extra screws/bolts.

... Read morepart numbers. Ordering was easy. Shipping was quick, efficient, and very reasonable. And now I know how to easily maintain my grill, as I have had it all apart. Where possible, I have switched out to stainless steel screws and bolts to decrease the chance of rust in the future
