This is a high quality OEM supplied replacement fuel tank that is designed for Husqvarna trimmers, edgers and brush cutters. This assembly is made from durable plastic and it includes the tank, fuel lines, fuel filter, fuel cap with a retainer and the isolator pads. Its purpose is to hold the fuel that is used by the engine. You will need a torx screwdriver to complete this repair.

Not an easy repair-heat warped the covers
What would typically be an easy repair turned into an aggravation during reassembly. The plastic covers warped due to heat and and would not align. I suspected something was amiss when the starting rope cover screws were difficult to remove.
FedEx took 9 days to deliver the part.

Removed the cover and the fuel tank came out with it, replaced new bushings and new tank.
Put some gas in it , pull cord twice and started right up

Tempted to buy a new trimmer/brush-cutter, thought maybe one more investment of $25 was worth the gamble. Replaced the entire gas tank assembly as a single unit. Surprisingly, this postponed the larger investment for at least another year or two.

removed air filter cover and motor housing. disconnected fuel lines removed old tank installed new tank attached fuel lines and reinstalled motor housing replaced air filter cover
