My compressor after I turn it on starts but blows circut breaker 20 amp
David For model number 919.165010 - March 20, 2023

Hello David, Thank you for your inquiry. There are two reasons an air compressor can trip a breaker, electrical and mechanical. Several factors can cause your compressor to pull too much power, so first make sure that that amp rating on the compressor does not exceed the amperage the outlet can handle. Check the safety valve, piston kit with o-rings, the fan and filter kit, and check valve for any visible damage. Good luck with your repair.

Aside from other parts that I needed, I was able to replace a spent-intake filter and replace the seized drain valve on 1999 year model 5HP 30Gal compressor.
Other parts not mentioned from here, was the piston and seals. Compressor runs like new now.
Glad to have sources like eReplacements with clear pictures and part availab ility.
