Description:

This genuine OEM Weber part is sold individually. If the magnets are rusted or damaged they will not keep the doors shut and would need to be replaced. To prevent your frame or magnets from rusting it is recommended to always cover your grill after use and store in in a dry environment.

Weber grill doors would not stay closed, existing magnets rusted out

1. Pry out old magnets from the bottom of the left and right doors (this took 99% of the time) - this will be the rusted iron plus the plastic housing all around each magnet that was never intended to be removed, make sure to curse a lot while doing this, it helps :)
2. Make sure to get all the rusted bits out
3. Clean the grill base where the doors close to also remove any rust you can see
4. Press the new magnets into place until they are firmly seated, takes about 30 seconds

The magnets were rusted over, and not keeping my grill doors shut.

1. Mangled the existing magnet's plastic until I could pull them out of the doors. This took a lot of bending, pulling, prying, etc.
2. Pushed the new magnets in.

Grill would barely reach temperature

Removed the doors and front cover of my Weber Summit Grill. (The means and fashion for doing so can be found on the internet and on youtube. I replaced the 5 of my 8 burner tubes plus the searing station burner, also replaced the light switch which had melted in our Phoenix Az heat and replaced one of the magnet in the doors. Project took about an hour and a half and the grill now works like new. Very please with eReplacementParts.com I received what I ordered in a timely fashion and the instructions included with the material were very good and detailed.
