This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement dado throat plate that is used on Porter Cable table saws. Its purpose is to reduce splintering and chip-out on the cuts, it also prevents thin slices of wood from jamming in between the blade and the plate during a cut. I had to cut out the old height adjustment bolt out because I could not get to move..
1.To make this easy remove the saw from the stand and turn the saw upside down.
2.Remove the blade and till the blade to 45 degrees. This makes it easy to work on height bolt assembly and height worm.
3.Remove the wheel then remove

4. I had to remove the anchor block. then remove the height worm.
Remember where the washers go on the height adjust bolt so when you reinstall it in the correct place.
