The shoes and shave plate are easy to install. Don\'t forget to place a piece of cardboard under shave plate on level Ground .This will allow you to properly level the plate and shoes before tightening everything down allowing a small clearance between shave plate and the ground. ( Your ready to go ).

I also replaced the skid plates along with shave plate. Easily removed with socket wrench. The carriage bolts I had were just a little to long and I sawed them off, the correct length would have cut out a step, The fit was perfect no problems,

Removed the carriage bolts that held the parts on, Had to use wd40. One bolt snapped and some of the others were ground down to almost nothing. Bought new carriage bolts at Lowe\'s and had to cut them to length. The replacement parts fit perfectly and bolted right up.

This was a very simple repair, the snowblower was tilted and blocked up to give access to the hardware fastening the sheave to the snowblower chute. The items listed were replaced and the skid shoes were adjusted to give approximately 1/8-inch clearance between the sheave lead edge and the surface below. (The skid shoes will need to be ad justed to maintain this clearance as the skid shoes wear.)
