Product Description ?

This is an authentic replacement component which is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with Delta table saws. The armature is a center part of an electric motor which powers the tool, over time due to heavy use or faulty components it may begin to wear out and fail eventually requiring a replacement to ensure peak performance. It is a high-quality assembly which consists of the armature, the plastic fan, and two durable metal bearings, please the field and carbon brushes are all sold separately.

    Great part! Worked perfectly.
    I had a brush tear apart and rip a swath thru the armature. Not an easy fix, but if you are comfortable taking a motor apart, it saves over a $100 vs. replacing the motor. Also, be sure to pick up new brushes, they are inexpensive and easy to get to on my delta table saw. If you don't want to pull apart the motor. A motor swap is easy.

    Armature burned up

    Unplugged saw.
    Removed blade
    Removed motor
    Disassembled motor
    Re-assembled motor with a new armature
    Removed and replaced the output shaft bearings
    Reinstalled motor
    Reinstalled blade
    Plugged in
    Test cut
    All good
