Question: Trimmer

1205942

I don't know if the battery is bad or the charger is bad. Any way to find out?
how do you find out if its the charger is bad or the battery is bad
WJA
To check your battery, get a volt meter and touch the negative. and positive tabs. Even if the battery has discharged you should still get a reading of 20 volts or close to it.
Question: Is There A Substitute?

1179387

I need a guard for my weed trimmer. But my models guard is discontinued. Is there a substitute?
WJA
Hello 1179387,

When the manufacture stopped supplying the 50006536 guard. They did not come out with a substitute. There were a lot of these trimmers sold. So you can keep searching on line for one. Hopefully one of the service centers or someone else may still have some in stock.

Good luck,
-WJA

Question: Battery

1163101

What if anything replaces this battery or do I just throu this equipment and purchase new ones I only purchased the weed wacker and blower last year.????????????
WJA
Hello 1163101,

I have read a few forums regarding the Worx battery. And for what I read, it hasn't been a very reliable battery since it came out. You may try one of the many battery rebuilding shops. To see if they can rebuild it with better cells. The machines are good as far as I read. They have just had so many problems with their batteries.

-WJA
what kind of a company tells you buy a new trimmer when the battery dies/because they have battery problem and won't stand back of there battery/i would NEVER BUY YOUR PRODUCT AGAIN will tell my friends the same////
WJA
Hello 1177982,

I know exactly how you feel. But we are not Worx. We are a supplier of their parts and accessories, and can only order the items that they have and can provide to us for our customers. You may want to contact Worx and explain to them your feelings towards the problems you are having. You never know, they may be able to help you out in some way.

Good luck,
-WJA

Question: How Do You Remove The Cutting He...

ronniesmom

The cutting head spins freely both clockwise and counter-clockwise and does not loosen at all no matter how long you spin it. Can someone please clarify how the old cutting head is removed so I can replace it with the new one?
WJA
Hello ronniesmom,

Looking at the parts diagram, once you remove the cutting head cover and the spool and line, there is a nut right below the line feeder assembly that needs to be removed. Then the cutting head will hopefully be easily removed.

Hope this helps,
-WJA
Yes, there is a nut, but how to hold motor shaft while unscrewing cutting head? dismantle motor housing, several screws, to get to motor. At the motor end opposite the cutting head the motor shaft is flatted so one can grip the motor shaft with a pliers while unscrewing the cutting head.
