    Finding the name of the part is the hardest part when trying to repair something, but I assure you that once I discovered the proper name of what I needed and placed my order it was all gravy. You have to somewhat handy to perform this task and patient as some parts come flying off while disassembling.

    Disassembled old upper boom assembly-hardest part was removing and reinstalling the rubber hand assembly-has to slide off old upper boom and reinstall on new upper boom-lower boom all I had to do is install the string guard and connect the string spool/head assembly.

    Drive line was rounded out and not working

    Removed the boom assembly.
    Swapped the Control Assmbly to the new boom.
    Re installed the new boom.

    The boom cable was weakened and not spinning attachment such as weed wacker.

    Screwdriver, Wd 40 helps to slide off the rubber grip

    1. Found a good solid table
    2. Removed screws located by trigger assembly 3. Pull out boom
    4. Spray wd 40 on top of grib
    5. Removed grip from old boom
    6. Re install the new boom and trigger assembly

    Drive coupling was stripped out/rounded.

    Upper boom got bent when it got caught on a tree while sticking out off the bed of our Polaris.

    1. Removed the throttle control and kill switch handle assembly.
    2. Removed the upper boom from the Power Head.
    3. Had to use a heat gun to warm up the rubber grip enough to allow it to slide off of the upper boom assembly.
    4. Reversed the order of operation to re-install the new upper boom assembly...PLUS sprayed WD-40 on the boom so that the rubber grip slid back on easier.

    Simply removed the old upper boom. sprayed the unit with a little silicon to assist pushing the rubber handle on.
