Because it is made of rubber it is common for this part to become brittle and need to be replaced. The Oven Bake Element is a black, metal part which supplies heat to the oven. This element is 19-1/2" wide x 18-1/2" long and has 3-1/2" inserts. It is rated as "Easy" to install by users, and attaches to the bottom of the oven.
