Questions & Answers

Could you please send instructions about assembly of the carburetor. A booklet or paper instructions would be helpful. Thank you very much. My home address is 5610 M-66 East Leroy, Michigan 49051.
Larry for model number TB320BV
Hello Larry and thank you for writing. We looked up the manual you need, and it is listed as No Longer Available/Discontinued for your model . There are no part substitutions listed. Our suggestion here would be to call the manufacturer and see if they can provide you with a diagram for these parts. Hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Hello mac090407,

We do have an article and video regarding this problem. Here is the link to it.

How to Replace Fuel Lines on 2-Cycle Engines. I hope this will help.

Question: Blower

Logsplitter1

My tb320bv blower will only run with choke fully on, can you help?
Hi logsplitter1 Your problem is a classic case of the fuel that is getting to the engine being too lean. Choking it richens the fuel mixture, allowing it to run. There can be several causes why this is happening. You will need to start at the source....the fuel filter and fuel lines. Inspect them and replace if needed. Remove and clean the carburetor. Use no harsh cleaning solvents and no high psi compressed aur. Both of those things damage sensitive check valves in the carb.
If inspection and carb cleaning fail, then you will need to either put a repair kit in the carb or replace it.
Question: Troybilt Blower

FISH

:confused:CAN,T CRANK!
If it won't crank at all, can't pull rope start, my guess is the piston is seized on the cylinder.
I don't believe that Troy-Bilt machines are junk. The majority of issues with pieces of equipment are carb related, you could clean the carb and see if this helps. Also, you could post a more detailed description of the problem and I will try to diagnose it.
I agree with primer bulb as I have worked on all brands but Husqvarna, Maryuma and Kawasaki. There ARE lemons though coming off of assembly lines every once in a while, including cars being made. Most of the stuff that is NOT Echo or Stihl are of Poulan manufacturing. I know those engines run strong. I had a 31cc Troy Bilt trimmer once that developed a bad vibration. I think one of the bearings on the crank let go. I parted it out, but never considered Troy Bilt as junk. By the way...this forum is a reference for many out there but the Original Post is 2.5 years old...an oldie but a goodie I guess.
Question: Model TB320BV Blower

anonymous

I forgot and ran the blower with just gasoline without the oil. Now it would not start. What I would do now?
Hi Luis,

Running a 2-cycle engine without the proper mix oil is very damaging to the engine. Usually the damage caused will be more costly to repair than simply replacing the tool would be. You can find more information about the damage caused when mix oil is not added at the following link...

http://www.ereplacementparts.com/article/3742/How_to_Mix_2Cycle_Engine_Oil.html

I hope this helps to answer your question.

-Mark
Dont toss it. Recycle it...if it is damaged. You can remove the exhaust muffler and then look into the engine to observe any scoring or gouging of the cylinder walls and/or piston. Chances are good, that it is damaged. Replacement engines are cheap and not too hard to do..saving you LOTS of money. If you can move the engine via the pull cord, then do as I stated above. Use bright light to observe any damage. You can also pull the carb and small intake block and look into THAT side of the engine as well. If it was not run too hard or too long, it may be salvageable.
If you have a compression tester, check the compression. If it is bad, chances are the cylinder is scored. If so, I would definitely recommend recycling it or stripping it of the carb and other usable parts as ShotOut says.
Question: Troy Bilt TB320BV

jmstopp

Need help.
I have a TroyBilt blower vac TB320BV that will not run full engine speed.
Starts great will not come up to full speed under wide open throttle.
I have cleaned the fuel tank, fuel lines, air cleaner, spark arrestor and carb.
Anyone else having similar issues that can help?
You may need to open up and clean the carburetor. You may also need to adjust the Low and High mixture screws on the side of your carburetor. Static setting on those is about 1 1/2 turns out from lightly seated position. I know the screws probably have unorthodox heads on them. That is the manufacturer's way of keeping US from adjusting them. It may also be time for you to replace a stiff fuel pump diaphragm INSIDE that carburetor you are going to link removed no real harsh cleaners on it (non-chlorinated brake clean is fine) and use absolutely NO high pressure compressed air to blow out any passages. Small, sensitive check valves can be damaged by either one.
