Questions & Answers

Will this fit model PP136?
Chuck for model number PP136 asked on 2019-10-14
Hi Chuck, the trigger for your model is part # 545017701. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
on my string trimmer the throttle cable was "permanently" attached to trigger. looked as if it was molded right into it. this trigger looks like cable is a completely separate part meant to mate up to the trigger part? Is this the right trigger part for my model? thanks

Broken trigger on Weed Eater
Just four allen style screws......take thick black handle apart, slowly, note how springs attaches to trigger, slip trigger in , make sure cable is attached, replace spring, and ensure trigger moves throttle freely. Put screws back in...took about 5 minutes to fix

Trigger wouldn't return to idle - pastic "spring" portion broken
Removed adjustable handle (1 bolt) slid it towards trimmer head. split trigger housing (6 screws or so). Replaced trigger.

Here's the hard part. The motor is basically free at that point. Postioned the RH side of the handle onto t he shaft where you have to compress a spring to where you can slide the washer into a slot in the trigger housing. THEN, SIMULTANIOUSALY, lay the throttle cable into the housing, taking care that the keeper block is correctly positioned and the cable housing lays in the recess properly, get the motor onto the shaft with the holes for the screws properly aligned, position the left hand cover onto the shaft without being able to see anything while making sure you have the spring washer in the groove, the cable block in position , the cable housing not getting pinched, all the screw holes lining up. NOW, as you are tightly gripping the two halves of the trigger housing together with both hands, you need to put in the screws!!!!!!
AUUGH!!!! Works perfect now...GOOD LUCK!
Part is as original although a different color (who cares) and Ereplacementparts had it, it was cheaper than the shipping, but it arrived in a few days, and I'm whacking weeds again!

Wahoo!

I Determined and isolated which components were supposed to be involved cutting.
I started by disassembling and cleaning the parts.
