This is an authentic Shidaiwa replacement part manufactured for use with backpack blowers. The throttle cable is the linkage between the throttle trigger and the carburetor. The cable is used to open and close the carb, increasing or decreasing the amount of fuel/air into the cylinder. Cables can break at the connection points, or become crimped. Replacing a broken cable is a relatively simple repair and the cable is available as an individual replacement part.
