This is a manufacturer sourced replacement thermometer designed for use with Weber grills. It can be used to measure temperature inside the grill and the temperature of the food. Dial reads 100 - 350 degrees. This part is made out metal and it is sold individually. Please note the bezel that secures this thermometer is sold separately.

2. Using pliers (opened wide) I loosened the wing nut on old thermometer from its bracket (probably could have done it without the pliers but they made the job easier)
3. Completely removed wingnut and extracted thermometer from outside of hood
4. While thermometer is out of bracket, quickly clean any soot/grease/sludge from around the bracket, both inside and out.
5. Inserted replacement thermometer into bracket aligning prong on thermometer in slot on bracket.
6. Threaded replacement wingnut onto screw on back of thermometer on inside of hood. Tighten thumb tight.
Very quick and simple repair. Took longer to locate source of replacement thermometer than to do the actual repair.
