This is an authentic component which is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Napoleon gas fireplaces. The fuse trips to protect the unit from excessive heating. If the fuse blows, the equipment won't be able to turn on. It is made of high-quality materials and is sold individually. To replace it you would need a screwdriver. Check the owner's manual and the parts diagrams for your model to ensure the correct repair procedure.

Repair was straight forward:
1. Remove front panel screws and slide front panel assembly (which include the switch and the blowers) out.
2. Remove the two connectors and then the two screws that secure the switch
3. Remove switch and replace with new item.
Reassembly is the reverse of the above.
Downside - the new switch only lasted 1 day. This was a Napoleon official replacement part. Wont be spending $30 on this crap again any time soon. Bypassed the switch and control it manually instead using the potentiometer that controls the blower speed
