This is a Genuine OEM replacement Table Insert used on Hitachi Band Saws. This part is made out of Metal and it is Sold Individually. Please note Roll Pin used to secure this part is sold separately. Table Saw Inserts reduce splintering and chip-out on the cuts. It also prevents thin slices of wood from jamming in between the blade and the plate during a cut. If an insert is missing or damaged it needs to be replaced.

Looking for this part for years. had to settle for plastic one which did not fit right moved and got caught in blade. Replacment parts fit perfect snaped in place did not move. Thank you for a great replacement part!!!

I replaced both band saw tires

Removed both the upper and lower wheels. Scraped and cleaned both wheels and then mounted new tires. I found clamping the wheels into my large vice helped as I stretched the tires onto the wheels. Because the tires are friction adhered, they fit tight and I used a flat bar to pry to stretch the tires onto the wheel. An extra set of hands would be helpful if you don't have a large vice. The tires fit perfectly. Care is needed to realign the top wheel once the blade is re-installed. I turned the wheels by hand to make sure the blade was tracking before plugging the machine in. Works great.

I pulled out the hex key and dropped the hinge pin in place, then I dropped the table insert in place.
