The switch has 8 wiring terminations. I made note of where each wire goes. Removed the old
switch. Terminated the wires to the new switch. Installed the new switch. Tested the hammer
drill. All is well. The new switch you sent me was an exact replacement and works fine.

Removed the handle cover. Then I drew a wiring diagram of how the switch was wired, so I wouldn't forget. I removed the cord clamp to make it easier to remove and replace the switch. I then removed the wires from the old switch, and connected them to the new switch. Replaced the cord clamp and the handle cover. Tested it, works great.

Tools Used

Screwdriver, Cell phone for pic

Remove screws at handle, open case. Before removing switch take a picture of wires so you know how to lay them back in the case. There is enough play in the wires to pull the switch out of case. Place new switch next to old and move wires one at a time. Place switch in its proper place. Route wires thru case using picture. Replace cover and install screws.
