Removed old switch from slot on the frame unplugged old switch and slipped new switch into mounting slot

Mower would start but would not move not move would die if you release the brake or raise the left or right steering arms.

Removed and replaced the brake safety switch.it did not help. unplugged the safety switch under the seat and hot wired it. It worked. Plugged the switch and it worked. So now I have a spare safety switch. the spring is just to have when it breaks.

Most time spent isolating which safety switch was failed using the voltmeter. Once located, actual replacement of the parking brake safety switch was less than 5 minutes.
