Product Description ?

This is a genuine manufacturer supplied replacement part. It is commonly used item on Dewalt impact drivers. It is generally used to handle on/off function of a tool. If your drill randomly stops or the trigger does not respond. Replacing switch assembly would help to resolve the issue. Please note the selector button is sold separately.

To complete this repair job you will need a screwdriver.

• First make sure equipment is unplugged.
• Remove housing screws
• Separate housing halves
• Disconnect the wires
• Remove old switch and secure the new one
• Reassemble in reverse order and test your tool

Screwdriver, star bit

Take out battery. Remove one handle half from tool. Take a pictures of all of the parts inside. Make a wiring diagram of the switch. Remove the old switch and install the new one. Check the position all of the parts according to the pictures. Place handle half back on and secure with screws.

Opened up the driver. Tested connections with a volt meter. Determined switch was bad. Ordered and new switch. When switch arrived I installed and all is working.
