The stoneware dish is sold separately and is sourced directly from the manufacturer. If this dish has cracked or chipped or the coating is starting to wear, it will need to be replaced. It is dishwasher friendly, however it should be handled with care. Hand washing it with gentle cleaning materials will ensure it lasts as long as possible.

I'm ok with getting a used replacement crock but I was under the impression it was something new.
Either way, other than having to wash it up from it's previous owner, it works fine! I'm not disappointed, because I would have been happy with a used part and paid the same rate for it, it was just that I didn't know, so just be aware of that. I guess they could have washed it first, but I'm ok with it. I'm cooking a pot roast now with it with potatoes and we already did a beef roast last week and we are up and cooking again so thats all that matters!
