This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Makita laminate trimmers and plate joiners. The special spur gear has an arbor hole with two flat sides to fit the shape of a thumb screw and is used to raise and lower the motor housing. This spur gear is sold as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.
