1. Removed the seat - one bolt and large washer - and slid seat out of the grooves in the hinged seat mounting frame.
2. Put spring and adjustment lever in molded slot in seat bottom - positioning was obvious.
3. Replaced seat in its track grooves - lever-and-spring held in by the seat against the frame.
4. Replaced hold -in washer and bolt. Tightened just enough to keep them in place.
5. Checked back-and-forth sliding adjustment. Worked great! Done! - Surprisingly easy!

1. Removed washer and bolt attaching seat to metal frame.
2. Removed seat.
3. Attached latch and spring to the seat.
4. Reattached seat to frame and tightened washer and bolt.
